Macy’s and Livingston Parish 4-H invite customers to participate Aug. 23 in Macy’s ninth annual national Shop for a Cause charity event.
Macy’s Shop for a Cause is a unique, one-day shopping event created to support local charities. Shoppers can support 4-H while enjoying a day of discounts, entertainment and special events at Macy’s.

The Livingston Parish Literacy and Technology Center will offer a Survival Spanish and Survival English for Beginners class starting Sept. 18.
The adult class meets from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings.

Honoring Bob Ingalls
Local Fellowship of Christian Athletes Director Bob Ingalls is retiring after 20 years of service to schools in Livingston, St. Helena and Tangipahoa parishes.

The Livingston Parish Children’s Choir Scholarship Raffle tickets are on sale for $100 each. The grand prize is two LSU football season tickets in the east sideline, 20 yard line, seats 23 and 24. The second prize is a football signed by Les Miles. The third prize is an LSU gift basket. The drawing will be Sunday. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.
