The Walker FFA recently held its “Open Your Eyes” anti-bully workshop for sixth-graders at North Corbin Junior High School.

The workshop included personal testimonies by students at Walker High School, a video about the effects of bullying, an activity and a banner that the students signed to pledge to “open their eyes” against bullying.

The activity had students separated into three groups in which they wrote on a piece of paper about a time they have been bullied, witnessed someone being bullied or when they were the bully. When they were done writing, the children went back to the bleachers without their paper so they could leave what they wrote behind them and in the past.
