Walker High School’s Book and Key clubs sponsored a supply drive Nov. 30 through Dec. 4 in which students collected 1,599 travel-sized hygiene products such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss and hand sanitizer.

The items benefited the LSU chapter of Global Brigades, an organization of college students that provides medical and dental services to people in Nicaragua who rarely see a doctor or dentist.

Walker High graduate Reeny Sittichot, a member of Global Brigades, planned to take part in the service trip to Nicaragua.
