Plans are underway for the eighth annual Pioneer Day set for March 19 on Mattie Street in front of old City Hall in Denham Springs.

The event features food, music, vintage items, storytelling and crafts from pioneer days.

To date, several vendors already have signed up, but space is still available.

Free monthly yoga class

An instructor from Spiral Branch Yoga will be at the Denham Springs-Walker Branch of Livingston Parish Library at 3 p.m. Sunday for a free monthly yoga class for adults and teens. Bring tax documents such as W-2s, 1099s and information for deductions and credits along with a copy of last year’s tax return and a Social Security card for yourself, a spouse and dependents. You also may bring proof of a bank account for direct deposit. Volunteers will prepare most simple returns.

An interactive movie adventure featuring “The Princess Bride” awaits teens ages 12 to 18 at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the South Branch of Livingston Parish Library. Vintage Disney for little ones
