Levi Milton Elementary School in Walker celebrated Unity Week and Red Ribbon Week in October. During Unity Week, students created a chain link that encircled the cafeteria, symbolizing uniting to show respect for others. Students also wore orange shirts on Unity Day.

During Red Ribbon Week, a different theme was celebrated every day. Magic Mitch the magician showed there is magic in saying no to drugs during a school assembly. The school also collected items for the Full Tummy Project, sponsored by Mighty Moms. More than 1,400 items were collected to help feed hungry families in Livingston Parish, with the class collecting the most items receiving a pizza party.
