The Tangipahoa Parish Master Gardeners’ Camellia Garden Stroll will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Hammond Research Station, 21549 Old Covington Highway (La. 1067).
Admission is free.
Attendees can stroll through a collection of more than 500 Camellia japonicas and sasanquas planted from the late 1930s to the early 1950s.
Also featured are a camellia plant sale, history of Hody Wilson Garden presentations at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. and planting demonstrations at 2:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
The Camellia Garden Stroll is co-sponsored by LSU Agricultural Center, Hammond Research Station and Tangipahoa Parish Master Gardeners Association.
