3-D Christmas ornament
Participants can learn basic 3-D design skills to make and print their own Christmas ornament at the Denham Springs-Walker Library.
Make a simple shape such as a sphere or a Christmas tree on Dec. 11. Learn how to customize your ornament at a session for ages 12-18 only at 5:30 p.m. and a session for 18 and older at 7:30 p.m.
Finished designs will be printed after the event and participants can pick them up from the library at a later time.

Sponsors are sought for Party in the Park, the largest event in the history of Livingston Parish. The party will be on July 4 at the Livingston Parish Fairgrounds.

Walker Christmas parade
The Walker Christmas parade will be at 6 p.m. Friday. Participants can line up at the high school at 4 p.m.
The parade will roll from Walker High going east on Burgess Road, south on Walker South, west on U.S. 190, north on Palmetto to Burgess and back to Walker High.
No fee is required for car, truck, float, golf cart or marching group entries. For an entry form, go to the city of Walker’s website at www.walker.la.us.
Denham Springs parade
The Denham Springs Christmas parade will be at 2 p.m Saturday. Lineup begins at 9 a.m. The theme is “Christmas at the Movies.”

Livingston Christmas parade
The town of Livingston Christmas parade will line up at the elementary school at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and will take La. 63 north to Florida Boulevard and turn right on Circle Drive to the Town Hall. Registration is requested by calling (225) 686-7153.
St. Jude benefit pageant
A benefit pageant for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, St. Jude Christmas Angels, will be Sunday at North Corbin Junior High, 32725 N. Corbin Road, Walker. Proceeds will go to St. Jude. The entry fee for ages 0-8 years is $30. The entry fee for ages 9 and up is $35.
Girls ages 9 and up should wear a long gown and full hair and makeup, pageant officials said. Age divisions are: girls 0-11 month, 12-23 months, 2-3 years, 4-5 years, 6-8 years, 9-11 years, 12-14 years, 15-17 years and 18-21 years.
