Livingston 4-H members compete in Cookery Contest _lowres

Ten 4-H members from Livingston Parish 4-H members competed April 7 in the area 4-H Cookery Contest at the Ponchatoula Lions Club.

Addison Manotas won third place in the oyster contest, and Maeghan Staley picked up a white ribbon in the crab-cooking contest.

Macey Higginbotham won first place in the fish and other seafood event and received a red ribbon in the egg-main dish division.

Peyton Manotas finished in first place in the crawfish-cooking contest and in the bento box division and received a red ribbon in the chicken contest.

Matt Seguin won second place in the other poultry products contest, and Josie Purvis was second in the egg appetizer/salad contest.

Luke Seguin finished in third place in the sugar/cookies division.

Other winners included Katelyn Shaffer, blue ribbon, sugar/pies contest; Mia Sibley, white ribbon, egg/dessert contest and Cali Green, blue ribbon, sugar/cakes.
