Route of Denham Springs Christmas Parade

The Denham Springs Kiwanis Christmas Parade starts at 2 p.m. Saturday, rolling down Range Avenue and passing through the Antique & Arts Village.

Senior line dancers perform

Senior line dance group The YaYas will perform in costume to Christmas favorites such as “Feliz Navidad,” “Holly Jolly Christmas,” “Papa Noel,” “Little Saint Nick” and other popular Christmas songs this holiday season.

Dewey Decibels in concert

Livingston Parish Library’s own band, The Dewey Decibels, will perform holiday concerts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Main Branch and 6 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Denham Springs-Walker Branch. There will be music, hot chocolate and pictures with Santa.

Minion movie madness

“Minions” takes over the Watson Branch of Livingston Parish Library at 5:30 p.m. Monday. Children ages 5 to 11 can join the Minions on a new Minion adventure, play a Minion game and make their own Minion ornament.

Fun holiday wreaths

Crafty adults age 18 and older can learn to create a festive wreath out of Smart-Fab fabric at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Denham Springs-Walker Branch of Livingston Parish Library. All materials will be supplied, along with holiday music and hot chocolate.

Arduino antics

The Watson Branch of Livingston Parish Library will host an Arduino course on basic computer programming and circuitry for ages 8 to 18 at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software.

Star Wars: A New Program

“Star Wars” fans ages 18 and older can awaken their inner Force with a kickoff party for the newest movie at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Albany-Springfield Branch of Livingston Parish Library. Play a giant Trivial Pursuit, create stencil art and enjoy snacks.
