Hammond native Melissa Bordelon has been selected as president and CEO of the Greater Hammond Chamber of Commerce.
“We are delighted to welcome Melissa back to Hammond,” said Chamber Chairwoman Erin Cowser, of Southeastern Louisiana University. “And couldn’t be more excited about the professional experience and dynamic leadership abilities she brings with her that will benefit the members of the Greater Hammond Chamber.”
Bordelon holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Southeastern and a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University.
She most recently served as director of programs and events with the St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce. Bordelon is a graduate of Leadership Tangipahoa and Leadership St. Tammany. She is a member of the Leadership St. Tammany Board of Trustees and a 2015 Northshore’s Finest Honoree, and she has served on the Board of Directors for the Southeastern Alumni Association, Tangipahoa Area United Way and Citizens for a Clean Tangipahoa.
Bordelon and her husband, Nic, have three children.
