The nonprofit Livingston Youth and Family Counseling will hold its third annual Evening in the Park from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Tony Dugas North Park Recreation Center, Denham Springs.

The cost is $50 per person and includes dinner, dancing to Big River Express, a silent auction and a drawing to win a set of four LSU football season tickets. Raffle tickets are $20.

Learn basics of quilting

The Livingston Parish Quilt Guild will guide adults through a small, basic quilting project from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Denham Springs-Walker Branch of the Livingston Parish Library.

Design in 3-D

Teens and tweens from ages 8 to 18 can come to the Main Branch of the Livingston Parish Library for an introductory course in 3-D design from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday.

‘Cinderella’ visits libraries

The Tri-Parish Ballet brings the classic fairy tale “Cinderella” to all ages in a series of performances this week at the Livingston Parish Library.

Performances are from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Main Branch; 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Albany-Springfield Branch, 26941 La. 43, Hammond; 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Denham Springs-Walker Branch; 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Watson Branch, 36581 Outback Road, Denham Springs; and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. July 23 at the South Branch, 23477 La. 444, Livingston.
