The Friends of the Livingston Library System book sale is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Denham Springs-Walker Branch of Livingston Parish Library.
The book sale is open to the public, and proceeds support the Livingston Parish Library.
‘Harry Potter’ escape room
Livingston Parish Library is catching on to the real-life escape game craze with a “Harry Potter”-themed version for ages 18 and older at the Main Branch.
Groups of four are locked in a room and have to use its elements to solve a series of puzzles, find clues and escape within 30 minutes.

The power of positivity
Terrance Morgan and Tyler Wilson, of Rhythm/Soul, will bring interactive workshops using theater and urban dance to Livingston Parish Library . Topics will focus on self-improvement, positive thinking, self-esteem and hard work. All ages are welcome to participate.

Peanut-themed crafts, games and a puppet show are in store for children ages 3 to 11 at the Watson Branch of Livingston Parish Library at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Don’t worry about allergies: these peanuts are the kind used in packing and shipping.

Youth ballet to perform
Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre’s Youth Ballet brings its summer tour of “Graduation Ball,” an original ballet directed by Rebecca Acosta, to the Denham Springs-Walker Branch of Livingston Parish Library at 10 a.m. June 9.
The comedy, featuring a group of Viennese girls and military cadets at their graduation ball, is free and open to the public.
Fundraiser performances to offset the cost of the tour will be at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Dancer’s Workshop, 10745 Linkwood Court, Baton Rouge. Admission is $5 per child and $10 for ages 15 and older.
The South Branch of Livingston Parish Library will host Legolympics for ages 6 to 11 at 2 p.m. June 9. There will be building challenges, relay racing and robotics.
