The SPCA of Livingston rescheduled its adoption event planned March 12 due to inclement weather.

The group is hosting a pet adoption event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Petsmart on Millerville Road.

SPCA of Livingston is a rescue group with a mission to raise awareness of the plight of animals in southeastern Louisiana, to teach and foster good pet parenting practices as well as to promote spay and neuter programs, a news release said.

Adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test, blood testing for felines, de-worm, de-flea, free pet insurance for 30 days, free bag of premium pet food, free flea prevention, free vet visit, free travel leash, first month’s heartworm medication and more.
