LSU Agricultural Center Extension agent Layne Langley led a nutrition program on food dollar management during a recent meeting of the Can Do’s Volunteers for Family and Community.

The program included tips on serving healthy meals and snacks on a limited budget and discussion of each MyPlate food group and how to save money by choosing healthful foods.

Can Do’s members also participated in a blind taste of national brands versus store brands and helped prepare a chickpea dip recipe.
