After 20 years participating in South Tangipahoa’s American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, the team from Holy Ghost Catholic School continues to win awards, a news release from the school said.

With the theme “Knocking Cancer Out of the Park,” the team members donned baseball attire and decorated their campsite using the same theme during the Relay for Life last month. They served hot dogs and peanuts, and won several awards, including first place for Best Costume, second place for Most Creative Campsite and third place for Most Money Raised by a Team. Selling Friday lunches and charging for “Jeans Friday,” the team raised nearly $6,000 this year.
