Tangipahoa Volunteers for Family and Community, an all-volunteer arm of the LSU Extension Service, is holding its 34th annual Holiday Ideas Workshop on Thursday at the Ponchatoula Community Center. This year’s theme is “Starry Christmas Night.”

Doors open for registration at 9 a.m. and demonstrations begin at 9:30 a.m. Admission is $5 per person and includes a souvenir booklet of all holiday demonstrations. Light refreshments will be served.

Featured speakers are Donna Bouterie and Jean Hebert, members of the New Orleans Depression Glass Club, who will talk about collecting and owning Depression glass.

TVFC’s annual Scholarship Quilt will be on display and tickets will be available. Proceeds go toward providing a graduating Tangipahoa High School senior with a scholarship to a Louisiana college or university.

There also will be crafts and white elephant items for sale, gift basket raffles, RADA knives and TVFC cookbooks.

Call (225) 294-2349 or (985) 662-8187 for more information about the workshop. To learn more about joining a TVFC chapter, call (985) 748-5462.
