Friday is the deadline to apply for Leadership Livingston’s Class of 2016. The program, sponsored by the Livingston Parish Chamber of Commerce, aims to create community leaders.

Intro to Microsoft Word

A class on Microsoft Word for adults will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday in the computer lab of the Livingston Parish Main Branch Library, 20390 Iowa St. Attendees will create, format and save a document. Basic computer knowledge is needed before taking this class.

Fitness games for kids

Children can get moving with Wii “Zumba Kids” from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the meeting room at the Denham Springs-Walker Branch Library, 8101 U.S. 190, Denham Springs.

“Zumba Kids” features music from artists like Willow Smith and international dance styles. It is recommended for ages 7 to 12, but all ages are welcome. Consult your physician before participating.

End of Summer Teen Time

Teens are invited to celebrate the end of the Livingston Parish Library’s summer reading program with an end-of-summer party from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Main Branch Library in Livingston.

The party will feature a superhero trivia game, crafts, activities and other games.
