The Southeastern Louisiana University Small Business Development Center and several area partners will host “Get Found on Google Search and Maps,” a free seminar on business use of Google, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Feb. 17 at the Tangipahoa Parish Library, 204 N.E. Central Ave., Amite.

Co-sponsors include the Amite Chamber of Commerce, Tangipahoa Economic Development, Tangipahoa Parish Library, SCORE Northsore, 5 Stones Media and local Google photographer J.R. Portman.

Google Maps is one of the most popular and regularly used apps in the world, and businesses with complete online listings on Google are twice as likely to be considered reputable by consumers, said Sandy Summers, assistant director of the LSBDC.

Participants should bring a fully charged laptop or mobile device to complete a listing in class and will leave the seminar with a listing set up and ready to connect with online searchers.

Preregistration is encouraged and is available online at lsbdc.org/events. For information, call (985) 549-3831 or email lsbdc.slu@lsbdc.org.
