LSU University College’s Phi Eta Sigma honor society inducted 234 freshmen on April 21 in the LSU Student Union’s Royal Cotillion Ballroom .
Phi Eta Sigma is a national honor society that awards first-collegiate-year scholarships. Its goal is to encourage and reward academic excellence among full-time freshmen students in institutions of higher learning who have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade-point average.
Students from Livingston and Tangipahoa parishes inducted into the LSU Chapter include:
Denham Springs: Cameron Anderson, Josie Elizabeth Bonnette, Tanner Wade Clouatre, Kylie Marie DeBoer, Mon Christian Angelo B. Tapalla
Hammond: April Raneé Gaydos
Maurepas: Kayla Rachelle Yarborough
Walker: Ashley Rosalia Brignac and Tara Angelle Leger.
