Artists are needed for an outdoor art stroll in Ponchatoula.
The Ponchatoula Chamber of Commerce invites artists to participate free in its first Gotta Have Art Stroll Oct. 4, in conjunction with the annual Antique Appraisal Day, a news release from the organization said.
Artists who create in all media including oil, acrylic, watercolor, pottery, jewelry photography, woodwork and more will be exhibiting their art in Ponchatoula. Exhibitor locations include Collinswood Park, the courtyard of Roussel’s Antiques, and the main street open grounds of Trail’s End and CJ’s Antiques.
No vending permits are required, the release said. Artists are responsible for reporting and collecting the 5 percent sales tax to support Tangipahoa schools. The deadline for applications is Sept. 27. A tent space of 10 by 10 feet is available. Smaller areas do not require a tent, the release said. Vendors must supply their own tent, tables, art displays and chairs, the release said.
