SATURDAY

  • OLD SOUTH JAMBOREE: all day event, 9554 Florida Blvd., Walker.
  • HUNGARIAN HARVEST DANCE: 5 a.m., American Legion Building, 26200 La. 43, Springfield. Adult advance tickets are $12 and $15 at the door. Children 6-12 advance tickets $7 and $10 at the door. Free for children 5 and under.
  • FARMER’S MARKET: 7 a.m. to noon, 215 Florida, Corner of Florida and Hummell, Denham Springs.
  • DENHAM SPRINGS FALL FESTIVAL/ANTIQUE DISTRICT: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Denham Springs Antique District, Located in the heart of Denham Springs, on North Range Avenue and between Centerville Street and Railroad Avenue. Two stages of live entertainment are within easy walking distance of Range Avenue and provide an excellent place to sit and relax or tap your toes and dance. Visitors are welcome to bring chairs or use provided seating.
  • FOLLS PUBLIC BOOK SALE: 9 a.m., Denham Springs-Walker Branch. Book sale is open to the public and is sponsored by Friends of the Livingston Library System.
  • SEWING BASICS: 10 a.m., South Branch Library. Local sewing instructor Vicky Reynolds will show the basics of using a sewing machine and learn how to make a tote bag. Participants must bring a machine, scissors, seam gauge, pins and thread.
  • PARANORMAL INVESTIGATIONS: 11 a.m., Albany-Springfield Branch Library. Join professional paranormal investigators as they share stories from the field.
  • SCIENCE SATURDAY: 2 p.m., Watson Branch. Come and explore the world of science every first Saturday of the month.

SUNDAY

  • CARTER HOUSE OPEN HOUSE: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Carter House, 30325 Carter Cemetery Road, Springfield. Tours will be given at the open house along with some of its history. The Carter House is the only plantation still standing in Livingston Parish, and the property dates back to 1804. Children under the age of 12 will be admitted free, and a $5 fee will be charged for adults.

MONDAY

  • BABY AND TODDLER STORYTIME: 9:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., Denham Springs-Walker Branch Library.
  • ALBANY SPRINGFIELD ADULT BOOK CLUB: 10 a.m., Albany-Springfield Branch. Read fiction, nonfiction and biographies.
