Registration is underway for the Denham Springs Yellow Jackets Color Run set for April 23 on Yellow Jacket Boulevard in Denham Springs.

The run is a benefit for the school’s Project Graduation, which hosts a graduation party for seniors.

The event is a 5K color run race that starts at 9 a.m. and features jambalaya, music and an after-party.

Deadline to register is April 21.

Race packets will be distributed from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 11 at the Denham Springs Freshman High School Gym.

Prepare for the ACT with a practice test provided free from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Denham Springs-Walker Branch Library.

Students age 12 to 18 can take the test, which is given by the Princeton Review.

Young Writers Club

Calling all young writers. The next meeting of the Young Writers Club is set for 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Denham Springs-Walker Branch Library.

The Young Writers Club is open to anyone between the ages of 10 and 17. The goal of the club is to write for both publication and performance.
