Residents in the Walker School District will vote May 3 on a $25 million funding proposition to expand and improve schools in the Walker community.
The bonds will be paid off over a 20-year period by adding 16.83 mills to local property taxes. Those mills are projected to decrease over the payout period. The bonds will fund the expansion and renovation of Walker High School, the construction of classrooms at South Fork Elementary, and the improvement of classroom technology at all schools in the Walker School District.
All Livingston Parish Library branches will be closed Friday for systemwide staff training. Notices are posted at each library location.
