Taylor Lea, a junior at Walker High School, won first place in the Stars Talent Show on Feb. 12 at Live Oak High School.
Lea won for singing Dolly Parton’s song “Nine to Five,” a news release from Walker High School said. Lea also won the Principal’s Award for the best overall performance, the release said.
Lea practiced her act for more than two weeks and was originally going to perform a Selena Gomez song, the release said. Lea wore jeans, a blue shirt and a blond wig. She also danced during her performance. This was Lea’s third year performing in the Stars Talent Show, the release said.
Previous Stars Talent Show events were held at Walker Freshman High School. This was the first year the Talent Show was held at Live Oak High School, the release said.
