Math methods workshops were held recently for more than 80 elementary teachers and 30 middle schools from Livingston Parish public schools.

The seminars, focusing on conceptual teaching, instruction and assessment methods and techniques for math curriculums, were led by Southeastern Louisiana University educators Stacy Jemison and Daniel Acosta.

The seminars were the second in a series of math training workshops offered by the district, according to Curriculum Supervisor Belinda Watson.

The elementary workshop covered four days and the middle school workshop lasted six days.
