The Denham Springs Main Street will host a Louisiana Honors Medal presentation at Old City Hall at 10 a.m. Nov. 1. A reception will follow. The organization is looking for servicemen and women who were honorably discharged and have not yet received their state’s service medal to participate in the ceremony. Veterans will need a copy of their honorable discharge papers and must fill out a short form.

Veterans who wish to receive a medal but do not want to participate in the ceremony can submit their paperwork, as well.

The museum at Old City Hall will be hosting a Korean War exhibit and is asking Korean War veterans or their families to loan photographs, artifacts and any other relevant items.

Contact Old City Hall at (225) 667-7512 for information on the medal presentation and the exhibit.
