The Walker FFA recently took a field trip to LSU to learn about what it’s like to attend the university, different fields of work and the many opportunities the school offers.

The day started with a meeting about the LSU Department of Agriculture and the different courses it offers. FFA members then took a tour with two Agriculture Department advisers who took the chapter to one of the new wood shops that the department recently acquired.

The Walker FFA toured campus with a current LSU student who talked about the advantages of living on campus, the different classes LSU offers and how to apply. The chapter also stopped to see Mike the Tiger and Tiger Stadium and talked about the activities that were available to LSU students.
