The Tangipahoa Parish 4-H Fashion Show, Beef and Sugar Cookery and Beef Poster Contest were held March 1 at Amite Elementary School.
In the Beef Cookery event, Garret Sanders, Hammond Eastside, won the quick-and-easy contest; Beau Pelloat, Loranger Middle, won the low-calorie contest; and Rebekah Pesson, Trafton Academy, won the one dish meal award.
Blake Valenti, Loranger Middle, won the cakes contest in the Sugar Cookery; Isabella Baham, Vinyard Elementary, candies; Trinity Methvin, Vinyard Elementary, cookies; and Colt Short, Loranger Elementary, pies.
Pesson won first place in the apron division of the fashion show, and Graysen Wallace, Oak Forest, won the overall award in aprons.
Other fashion show winners included Cenite Gray, Mater Dolorosa School, first place in complete outfits; and Shaylee Puls, Hammond High, overall winner complete outfits. Winning first place in ready to wear were Jessie Jenkins, Lorganger High; Randi Yokum, Hammond High; Cody Fisher, Hammond High; Sanders; and Cade Jenkins, Hammond Eastside. Brayden Puls, Hammond Eastside, was the overall ready to wear winner.
Sanders was the sugar ambassador winner.
The Beef Poster Contest overall winners were Lakelynn Venable, Roseland Montessori, fourth-grade division; Rylie Jenkins, Loranger Middle, elementary division; Ryan Rivers, Loranger Middle, junior high division and Sierra Cusick, Loranger High, senior high division.
