Community members have time to buy or sell raffle tickets for the Cottages for CASA playhouse fundraiser, sponsored by Child Advocacy Services.

The drawing will be held at 10 a.m. Nov. 18 at Stine Lumber in Walker.

Two custom-designed, unique playhouses were built for this year’s fundraiser:

“The Train Depot” was designed by the architectural design firm Holly & Smith, of Hammond. It was built through partnerships with Farm Bureau Insurance, Alack Culinary Equipment & Supplies Superstore and Amar Oil Co., with supplies donated by Gabriel Building Supply. It will be on display at Hammond Square.

“Decked Out” was designed by Scairono and Martinez Architects, of New Orleans, and built by McLin Construction with supplies provided by Stine Lumber. It will be on display at Stine Lumber.

Also available as a prize is a seven-night Wyndham vacation.

“We appreciate the support of community volunteers and financial contributions of local business owners and individuals. This project would be impossible without their involvement,” said Ginger Cangelosi, community outreach director for Child Advocacy Services.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at childadv.net or by calling Cangelosi at (800) 798-1575.

Proceeds will go toward Child Advocacy Services’ mission to advocate for abused and neglected children in the foster care system.
