The Greater Hammond Chamber of Commerce held its 2015 Chillin’ with the Chamber and $10,000 raffle Aug. 14 in Hammond, a news release said.

“It was a fun night of celebrating 65 years of the Greater Hammond Chamber in totally groovy ’60s style,” said Chairman Erin Cowser, of Southeastern Louisiana University.

Sponsored by Cypress Pointe Surgical Hospital, this year’s theme was “Peace, Love and Chamber.” Guests wore ’60s-themed attire and enjoyed music from DJ John Lejeune Jr., of Rock-It Productions.

New Chamber President and CEO Melissa Bordelon addressed the crowd.

The grand-prize raffle winners were Noland Stewart and Jessica Shirey, of Noland Stewart Salon, which recently moved into a newly renovated space in downtown Hammond. Shirey said the money will help cover a leaded-glass transom window that will be installed in their shop soon.

Second and third prizes included a “Peace, Love and Hammond” Mignon Faget bracelet from George Ibert Jewelry and a grill from Reeves True Value. Karen Reetz, of Loranger, won the bracelet, and Joe Lamonte won the grill.
