The Louisiana Children’s Discovery Center’s second annual children’s consignment event, Piper’s Closet, is set for July 30 through Aug. 2 at the former Piccadilly building in Hammond, according to a news release.

“Piper’s Closet will offer parents, grandparents or anyone with gently loved children’s clothes, shoes, toys, books and other children’s items the opportunity to sell their items on a consignment basis during our four-day sale,” said Anette Kirylo, executive director of the Discovery Center.

People who wish to register as consignors and/or volunteers should sign up by July 17 to be included in a drawing for prizes.

Consignors can earn up to 70 percent on their sold items during the sale. Consignors who volunteer also will gain first access to private presale times and earn an even bigger percentage on their sold items.

Piper’s Closet sells clothing, school uniforms, maternity clothes, dance attire and costumes, toys in like-new condition, bikes, books, puzzles, bedding, strollers, high chairs, swings and children’s furniture. Vendors will be on hand selling new items, too.
