A Tickfaw man has been arrested as a suspect in a string of armed robberies in Tangipahoa Parish, Sheriff Daniel Edwards said.
Christopher Rogers, 17, is accused of robbing a Dollar General in Natalbany on Jan. 20 and a Subway in Hammond on Jan. 28, Edwards said in a news release.
Authorities say Rogers is also the suspect in an attempted armed robbery at the Black Cat Grocery in Independence on Jan. 22. In that case, police said last month an unknown suspect pointed a gun at a grocery store clerk.

Rogers confessed to the crimes, telling investigtors he wanted money to fund a marijuana dealing operation, according to the news release issued by the sheriff's office,
Rogers was arrested Monday afternoon by detectives from the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office and the Hammond Police Department.
The sheriff's office is also seeking two accomplices, who they believe acted as getaway driver and lookout while the crimes were committed.
