An unknown man wearing a bandanna over his face and armed with a hammer allegedly broke into the back entrance of Heritage House in Denham Springs on Christmas Day and stole about $4,000 worth of sterling silver, according to Denham Springs Police.

About $4,000 worth of sterling silver items was stolen from a Denham Springs' Antique District store during a Christmas Day burglary, according to Denham Springs Police. 

The unknown burglar, wearing a bandanna over his face and wielding a hammer, broke into the back entrance of Heritage House, 208 N. Range Ave., at 3:50 a.m. Monday. 

Police said he filled a bag with the sterling silver items. 

A surveillance photo provided by law enforcement shows a man with a black hoodie and yellow cloth across his face.
