A Baton Rouge man was killed late Saturday when his vehicle left a Livingston Parish roadway and struck a tree, State Police said.
Bradley Lejeune, 40, was traveling northbound on La. 63 south of La. 447 in a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado pickup about 8:30 p.m. when he failed to complete a right-hand turn and ran off the road to the left, according to a news release.
After leaving the roadway, the truck struck a driveway embankment, became airborne and then struck a tree. Lejeune was unrestrained at the time of the crash and suffered fatal injuries as a result, police said.
Police said it is unknown if Lejeune was impaired, but a toxicology sample was taken for analysis. Excessive speed may have been a factor, police said, and the crash remains under investigation.
