Rescue Rehome Repeat of South Louisiana, formerly known as SPCA of Livingston, will hold a pet adoption event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17.

The event will take place at the PetSmart on Millerville Road in Baton Rouge right off of Interstate 12. Meet the animals looking for forever homes. There will be a variety of cats, puppies and adult dogs.

Adoption screening applications are required and adoption donations cover everything including spay/neuter surgeries and age-appropriate vaccines. Each adopter will receive 30 days free pet insurance, a puppy pack, a free bag of food and coupons from PetSmart, while supplies last.

Rescue Rehome Repeat of South Louisiana is dedicated to finding forever homes for abandoned and displaced animals while educating the public to be more responsible pet owners, according to a news release.

Rescue. Rehome. Repeat! of South Louisiana is a nonprofit organization. The mission of the organization is to raise awareness of the plight of animals in southeastern Louisiana, to teach and foster good pet parenting practices as well as to promote spay and neuter programs to help alleviate the need to destroy healthy and adoptable pets.

The group takes in owner surrender animals through its Positive Alternatives to Shelter Surrender Program and from kill shelters within Livingston and the immediate surrounding parishes by direct request of shelter directors as space permits. Visit the group online at www.rrrofsouthla.com.
