Roy Kellum won an iPad Mini from the Tangipahoa Volunteers for Family and Community’s 2018 Scholarship Raffle. Kellum purchased a ticket from member Judy Rhodes.

Each year, members of TVFC raise funds for a scholarship for a graduating high school senior in Tangipahoa Parish. To purchase a ticket or for information about the scholarship, contact the LSU Extension office in Amite at (985) 748-9381. Tickets go on sale in January. This year’s scholarship is $1,000, paid in two installments.

Also, seniors graduating this spring from a Tangipahoa Parish school who will be attending a university or college in Louisiana are encouraged to contact their guidance counselor and request a copy of the TVFC Scholarship application. See the application for the spring deadline.

Requirements include involvement in 4-H or FFA or a relative currently or previously involved with Tangipahoa Volunteers for Family and Community. Copies of the scholarship application can also be obtained by calling the Extension office.
