Rescue Rehome Repeat of South Louisiana, formerly the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Livingston, is a foster-based program that rescues animals from high-kill facilities and rabies controls that do not allow public adoptions throughout Louisiana. In addition to adoptions, the group helps animals when the owners may have fallen on a temporary hardship. Most adoptions are handled at scheduled adoption events. Staff will guide people through the adoption process, which includes an application form, being interviewed in person and veterinarian reference checks. The standard adoption donation is $180.
