A 39-year-old Livingston man has been charged with second degree murder in the strangling death of Brent Pollard late last year.

The release says Glascock strangled Pollard to death on Dec. 20, then duct taped his hands and feet and tried to bury him under leaves and pine straw near Red Oak Road in Livingston. Law enforcement previously said the killing stemmed from an argument over a stolen wallet.
In a separate matter, the grand jury indicted James Smith III on charges of second degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm related to the November shooting death of Randy Favron Jr., the release says. Smith is accused of shooting Favron during a verbal argument on Nov. 12 at the victim's home in Holden.
