Austin Rogers, of Denham Springs, is the June Pike of the Month for Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity.

Rogers is a junior at Southeastern Louisiana University and was nominated by Neil Bourgeois for his character, dedication to the fraternity and leadership skills, a news release said.

Rogers and Bourgeois are founding members of the Mu Nu Chapter at Southeastern, where Rogers has served as special events chairman, public relations chairman and treasurer.

Rogers is majoring in marketing and management. He has a 3.0 GPA and is on the dean’s list, president’s list and honor roll. He received the Green S Award, given for outstanding commitment to leadership, academics and what it means to be a Southeastern Lion, the release said.

His other activities include orientation leader, Division for Student Affairs leadership ambassador, Student Government Association justice and student government president’s Cabinet.

After graduating from Southeastern, Rogers plans to attend graduate school with the intentions of opening his own restaurant.
