The Arts Council of Livingston Parish is hosting a photography exhibit and sale throughout July at its gallery at 133 Hummell St., Denham Springs.

Featured photographers include Earl Arboneaux Jr., John Gallagher, Kathleen “Kitty” Kuhnert, Pierce Rainey, Kathy Reeves, Steve Uffman and Ken Wilson.

A free public reception with the artists is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 9.

Jackettes fundraiser

The Molly Ringwalds will headline a benefit for the Denham Springs High School Jackettes on July 29. The Jackettes are raising funds to perform in the Universal Dance Association’s dance nationals in February.

The concert will be at the North Park gym in Denham Springs. Doors open at 9 p.m. and the performance begins at 9:30 p.m.

Make Time: Little Bits

A workshop for children entering second grade and older at Livingston Parish Library features Little Bits, which snap together to create instant circuits to power unique inventions.

Wings of Hope Wildlife Sanctuary is bringing some of Louisiana’s native birds to Livingston Parish Library this week. The show is recommended for children ages 3 and older and their parents. Registration is required.

Coding for beginners
