Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts is opening its doors to rising seventh-, eighth- and ninth-grade students for the Summer @LSMSA program. Available dates are June 3-9, June 10-16 and June 17-27.

Each session consists of three, two-hour courses per day for six days in a fun, educational class of the student’s choice. LSMSA faculty and staff will teach the classes, which are followed by a choice of activities organized and monitored by professional LSMSA residential life staff. Students may stay overnight in a residence hall or go home after class.

Courses include Acting Technique, Beginning Improv, Common Tropes in Film, Creative Writing, Creole Culture In Louisiana, Cultural Anthropology, Discover Natchitoches, Emerging Leaders, Everyday Physics, Exploring French, Exploring the Human Body, Introduction to Music Theory, Journalism Today, Piano for the Total Beginner, Piano Masterclass (Intermediate/Advanced), Plants and Society, Poetry Out Loud, Robotics, Sports Variety and the Art and Science of Escape Rooms.

Early registration cost is $375 for the week and includes all meals and activities for overnight campers. Cost for day campers is $275 for the week and includes lunch, class activities and some optional afternoon activities. Early registration ends March 31.

Regular registration closes May 15 or when all available spots are filled. Cost during regular registration is $399 for overnight campers and $299 for day campers.
