Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, 10503 N. Oak Hills Parkway, will host its annual Duck Duck Goose Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22.

Visitors can get a firsthand look at waterfowl decoy carving, with some of the region’s oldest and most rare decoys displayed by carvers and collectors from all over the Deep South. This year’s special focus is “Classic New Orleans Decoys.”

There will be guest speakers, food and beverage vendors and door-prize giveaways throughout the day.

Children and adults can carve their own mini duck decoys out of soap and enjoy a Duck Box inflatable jump house, live baby duck petting in the Duck Pen, duck-themed carnival prize booths, face-painting and other activities.

Admission is $4 for children ages 3 to 17; $5 for adults; $2 for BSNC pass members; and free for children 2 and younger.
