Therese Arceneaux, of St. Joseph’s Academy, recently received a $2,000 scholarship from BASF.
Arceneaux is the daughter of Ken Arceneaux, an employee at the BASF Geismar site. She plans to attend LSU.
“BASF’s scholarships reward students for outstanding academic performance and encourage them to consider careers in the chemical industry,” said Tom Yura, senior vice president and manager of the BASF site in Geismar. “By investing in students who choose to major in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), we are helping to meet our future workforce needs.”
