Bullets take baseball tourney championship _lowres

The Baton Rouge Bullets went 4-0 to win the Cypress Mounds Grand Slam Hoist the Hardware Tournament held May 16-17.

The Bullets were the No. 1 seed after pool play on May 16 and won both elimination games the following day, a news release said.

Overall, the team scored 49 runs and gave up six.

It is the second tournament championship for the 13-year-old AAA baseball team this season.

The Bullets are led by coach Rusty Brooks and assistant coach Johne Brooks.
