  • COMMUNITY WORKSHOP FOR COLLEGE-BOUND STUDENTS: 9 a.m., Baton Rouge Community College, 201 Community College Drive. The three-hour workshop, hosted by BRCC, is open to all college-bound students in the community and is designed to help ease students’ transition to college. Topics will include basic college terminology, high school vs. college academic expectations, communicating effectively with college faculty, learning strategies and time management for the college student. The workshop will be offered five times during the summer: June 16, June 21, July 11, July 13 and Aug. 2.
