The greater Baton Rouge community is invited to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church for a special Requiem Compline service at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, All Saints’ Sunday.

The free service includes hymns, responses, Scripture readings and the church choir’s singing in English of “A German Requiem” by Johannes Brahms throughout.

Soloists include soprano Catherine Pletsch Hedges and baritone Brandon Hendrickson. Pianists Keilor Kastella and Yiseul Kim will accompany with a two-piano score adapted from Brahms’ original orchestration.

“Church choirs our size don’t typically — or ever — tackle a work of that dimension,” choir director Terry Bowman said.

The church is at 8833 Goodwood Blvd.
