The Louisiana Housing Alliance will host its annual state housing conference March 31 to April 1 at the University of Phoenix Baton Rouge Learning Center University, 2431 South Acadian Thruway.
The theme of this year’s conference is Home Matters: Promoting Growth and Sustainable Neighborhoods.
Registration is available on LHA’s website, or by calling (225) 381-0041.
The conference explores the notion that affordable housing may be an essential platform that promotes an array of positive human and economic outcomes in education, employment, community development, physical and mental health, among other areas, a news release said.
During the conference, national partners like Neighborworks America, the USDA, Center for Community Change and the National Low Income Housing Coalition will conduct educational sessions.
Participating state and local organizations include the New Orleans Business Alliance, Red River Bank, East Baton Rouge Housing Authority, Capital Area United Way, Louisiana Public Facilities Authority and the Louisiana Budget Project.
The Louisiana Housing Alliance is a nonprofit statewide coalition working to ensure the preservation and production of quality affordable housing for low and moderate income Louisianans and those with special needs, the release said.
