The LSU Agricultural Center annual poinsettia sale was Dec. 1 at the Botanic Garden on Essen Lane.

Greenhouse grower Wanda Ellis said about 2,600 plants consisting of 42 different cultivated varieties were available at the sale. The poinsettias were started the second week of August so they would be ready for the event the first week of December. The annual sale started over 20-years ago on LSU's main campus and eventually migrated to its present day site at the Botanic Garden off Essen Lane.
