The Baton Rouge Down Syndrome Awareness Group will hold its 15th annual Buddy Walk from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 31 at Healing Place Church, 19202 Highland Road.

The walk promotes awareness of Down syndrome, according to a news release provided by the nonprofit organization.

The event will include music, inflatables, a photo booth, hay rides, prizes, popcorn, cotton candy and jambalaya.

The Buddy Walk drew more than 1,000 participants in 2014, according to the release.

BRDSAG hopes to see even more people at this year’s event, said Leslie Roy Doyle with the group.

BRDSAG provides a forum for parent-to-parent support, promotes public awareness and works to improve the quality of life for all persons with Down syndrome. Admission is free.
