Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University conferred its first doctoral degrees during its fall commencement ceremony Dec. 15 at Raising Cane’s River Center .
The Rev. Joshua Johnson, a priest for the Diocese of Baton Rouge and pastor of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, was the keynote speaker. He is a graduate of Southern University, St. Joseph’s Seminary College and Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans. Johnson has spoken at conferences across the country and is writing his first book, according to a news release.
